Araluen Lodge

Located six kilometers out of rural Yarra Glen on scenic Steeles Creek Road, Araluen provides a wonderfully luxurious base for exploring one of the finest wine districts in the world – as judged by world connoisseurs. But the proof is definitely in the tasting, and there is a plethora of wineries within 15 minutes drive of this rather special abode.

The property, set amidst acres of landscaped gardens and backing onto the forests of Kinglake National Park, is one of the smartest bed and breakfast establishments we’ve come across.

There are only four spacious guest bedrooms, individually decorated and furnished with quality appointments. Each has a queen-sized or king/twin bed, antiques and ensuite bathroom.

The guest lounge room is warmed by a wood fire, just the spot for a good coffee or a book from the library.

European style or traditional cooked breakfast is served in the dining room, and dinner is available by arrangement

Gretha and Tim are charming, caring hosts and with Araluen Lodge’s luxury and peaceful location, it’s a winning combination.

Tariffs at Araluen Lodge start at $120/night mid week.
