The Yarra Valley has become one of Australia’s leading wine regions and produces some of this country’s finest cool-climate wines. Oakridge has won 174 medals and 7 trophies since 1984 and Michael Zitzlaff has established himself as one of the top wine makers in this premium wine-producing region of Australia.
Demand for Oakridge wines now far exceeds the company’s production facilities. With contracts secured for some of the Yarra Valley’s most promising vineyards, Oakridge is now looking to expand its production of Premium and Super-Premium wines.
Oakridge produces two ranges of wines:
The Oakridge Range, including a Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot blend, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc. Retailing at the $15 – $16 price point, this range represents the core of the Oakridge business and is designed as outstanding quality and value for money.
The Oakridge Reserve Range, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and from 1997, Merlot. Each Oakridge Reserve wine is the ultimate expression of an outstanding vintage. They are made without compromise and in the past, have only been produced in exceptional years. With the new vineyard sources under contract, it is planned to produce Oakridge Reserve wines every year.
